Just a quick note to say that training will be on this Wednesday 6-7 at Waverton. There won’t be a match this Saturday. Our one remaining league fixture against Malpas has to be re-arranged. I am hoping it will be May 9^th so watch this space.

I plan to organise a few friendlies over the early summer....I will post details of these on the website and let you know via email.

 

 We will also announce our plans for next season shortly. Some of the current year 9 girls will be joining the U16 squad next season and a number of the U12’s will step up into the U14 team.  We are not sure whether the Chester & District will be running an U14 league next season or whether we will decide to move to the Wallasey League (which has been successful for our U12 and U16 teams) We will make sure everyone is informed of the decisions we need to take in due course.

Superb performance last night! You worked extremely hard to keep things tight throughout the game. At half time I felt we were in with a great chance of winning against a strong and well organised Blacon team. It was a real step forward from the last time you met them and you matched them in every department.  It bodes really well for future games and for next season. Please keep that level of commitment and enthusiasm up.

On Saturday the U12/U16’s are kicking off at 9.30am. Please come along to support them if you can. The training session won’t start until approx 10.30/11am and is for an hour. Make sure you bring trainers and a drink. Our aim is to encourage more girls to join the club and be part of our developing success.

WEDNESDAY FOOTBALL

Final note about tomorrow. Meet at 6pm for a 6.30pm Kick Off. The referee has been sorted. We need to get the nets  and cones up as soon as we get there...they are in the lock up near the children’s playground.

I will bring kits for the girls that need them. If you have black socks/shorts already then put them on.

Remember you are likely to need to play in trainers if it doesn’t rain between now and then. Bring drinks.

Just a reminder about our match this coming Wednesday evening. We plan to kick off at 6.30pm at Waverton. Please come in your full kit and bring drinks. It would also be worth bringing both football boots and trainers as the pitch may be very hard after all this sun.

Currently only Laura and Ellie can’t play.

 

Please let me know urgently if you are unable to join us for this important game. I have the kits for those girls just joining us. I will be there from 6pm.

 

Could you also make sure you let me know if you can’t come this coming Saturday for our Ladies Football Open Day. We plan to meet at Waverton for 9.30am. The U12/U16 teams will be playing. Then we have a training session lined up. Again bring boots and trainers for this.

Ladies Football Day 25th April

Just another quick note about the 25^th April. Malpas Girls are unable to play us that day so I would like to invite you all along to support the U12’s and U16’s at the AFC Waverton Ladies Football day. It will kick off at 9.30am on the 25^th and there will be a training session from the Chester City Centre of Excellence for all girls who come along. If you have any friends who may be interested then please bring them along. Can you also tell your PE teachers if you can.

Please come in your full Waverton kit.

No match saturday

Just found out that Blacon can’t play us on the 18^th (this coming Saturday) and have asked if we would instead be able to play them mid  next week. This would involve a 6.30pm Kick off ideally on Thursday 23^rd April at Waverton.

Could you let Paul know tomorrow or me by email if you can play then? I will need to know by Thursday of this week as their manager is on holiday for three weeks.
