Next Season

Team

We are already putting plans in place for next season. There is a club meeting on the 20th May at which some if the issues will be discussed in more detail. Those of you currently in year 9 and moving to Year 10 in September will have to move to a new age group band (U16)

Robbie Mills (with help from David Harker) will again be managing the U16 squad next season so they are likely to be in contact with you about what options there are with this team.  If they don’t contact you then perhaps you can have a word with them at training in the next couple of weeks. The U16 team are likely to play in the Wallasey League (as they have this year).

Those of you currently in Year 8 and moving to Year 9 will remain with the U14 squad. A group of current U12 players will be joining you to form the new team. The future management structure for this squad is yet to be agreed but we will aim to enter a team in a  league.  The future of the Chester & District League is still under discussion so we need to be open minded about which league we enter. The current options are: 1. Wait to see if the Chester & District League happens 2. Enter the Wallasey League

If we enter the Wallasey League it will involve travelling a little further for away matches (with all home games being played at Waverton) However lift sharing has worked well for the U12 and U16 teams this season. Once we get some clearer picture for you all we will need to sort out registration for next season. This will involve sorting  passport photos (2), copies of birth certificates, filling in the club and league forms, and paying the club registration fee. I hope to try to sort all of this out before we end our training this year. Any help with this would be really appreciated.

If you are unlikely to be able to play next season or have any concerns or comments about the future plans please either email me or speak to me at training.

Regards

Simon

PS We are hoping to organise an end of season do and medal presentation for players and parents...any ideas are most welcome. Nb CRUISE night club is a little out of  our price bracket.

Team,

There is a training session tonight (Thursday) from 6pm to 7.30pm at Waverton. I haven’t been able to make contact with the Manager of Malpas this week so am not sure about Saturday. I am trying to re-arrange our final league fixture with Malpas...please watch this space.
